"The moments in life that one may see as ordinary, another may see as their miracle."
Connor Moment: Defying The Odds?

The other night we were putting Connor to bed and after we finished praying he put his cover over his head and started mumbling words that sounded like a sermon. It was one of Joel Osteen’s messages. We had heard him say the declaration “This Is My Bible” but we had never heard him quote a message. For the next 15 minutes we heard him quote one of Joel’s messages word for word. It was amazing! A thought came to my mind. If he can memorize messages and speak them word for word, how powerful would it be if one day Connor who’s been diagnosed with Autism stood in front of a crowd of people and preached his first message from memory. If he preaches one of TD Jakes messages….Get ready, Get ready, Get ready!

A week later we walked into his room and saw that he had lined up his super hero figures like an audience and was now preaching the message to them. Is God getting ready to blow our minds in using our son to defy the odds ….We Believe!

Connor dropped a puzzle piece in the car and he said Uh Oh! So my wife Samantha picked it up and gave it to him and he said to her, “THERE IT IS! GREAT JOB! Then he clapped for her. : )

A Friend

I asked Connor this morning what is a friend…He said, “A friend is someone who’s lots of fun.” That sounds like a good friend to me. : )

Last night before bedtime….for the first time at 9 years of age our son Connor gave himself a bath, dried himself off, put on his pajama’s, cleaned his room, & put himself too bed without being prompted or asked. What one may see as ordinary another may see as their miracle. That’s a miracle for us! So thankful!

I asked Connor who is your favorite Mommy or Daddy? He said “NO!” He didn’t want to pick. I asked him again who is your favorite Mommy or Daddy? He got frustrated and finally said, “Samantha!” That will teach me not to make him pick. : )

Connor was listening to a CD in his room. As Sam walked in his door she heard Connor shout out, “You may have missed your first opportunity, but the holy spirit will give you a second chance. Walk through the open door!!!! Ha! How about that!
